Congratulations to Dylan Wolman, MD for winning the Adult Brain Outstanding Presentation Award at the Annual ASNR Meeting 2020. Dylan characterized Virtual Ischemia Maps (VIMs) in acute ischemic stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy triage on Dual Energy CT Scanners. He found that VIMs can depict the ischemic core with an accuracy that is similar to CT Perfusion measures of the ischemic core and diffusion-weighted images - all from a non-contrast head CT!
